On August 3, 2025, in Lidung Village, Sarolangun, Babinsa Koptu Safaruddin from Koramil 420-04/Sarolangun actively supported Indonesia’s national food self-sufficiency program by assisting local farmer Ziul in weeding water spinach crops. This initiative helps optimize plant growth and improve harvest yields by removing weeds that compete for nutrients.
The activity is part of the TNI’s broader commitment to community welfare, particularly in the agricultural sector. Koptu Safaruddin emphasized that Babinsa’s role extends beyond security—supporting farmers is key to ensuring regional food resilience. The collaboration exemplifies how mutual cooperation between soldiers and farmers can strengthen local food security and promote self-sufficiency.
