What I Learned Living in Abbi With No Light for 3 Days.

Follow

For the past 3 days, there was no light in my area in Abbi, Ndokwa West, Delta State.

At first I was angry. My phone battery died, I could not charge, I could not write my Lodpost articles.

But after 3 days, I learned some lessons.

 1. We Waste Light

When light dey, we on fan, on TV, on phone, everything at once. When light no dey, you realize you can actually stay without fan in the night if you open window.

2. We Spend Too Much Time on Phone*

No light means no phone. I had time to talk with my neighbors, play ludo, and even read my old notes. I discovered that I know my neighbors more now than before.

3. Power Bank is Important

I learned that every student must have power bank. I borrowed from my friend and it saved me. Now I am saving money from Lodpost to buy my own 20000mAh power bank.

Light came back yesterday night around 9pm. Everybody shouted "Up NEPA!" like we won World Cup.

If you live in area where light no dey stable, buy power bank, buy small torch, and always have fuel in your small generator if you have.

How many days has light taken in your area before? Comment below.
