Imagine your passport becomes useless because your country no longer exists. Not from war, but from water.

Global sea levels have risen over 20cm since 1900, and NASA warns they could rise by another full meter by 2100. For low-lying islands, this is a death sentence.

Who Is At Risk?

1. Tuvalu: This tiny Pacific nation is so desperate that its government is creating a digital version of itself in the metaverse. They know the physical islands may be gone in 50 years.

2. Maldives: 80% of its islands are less than 1 meter above sea level. Luxury resorts you see on Instagram today could be underwater ruins tomorrow.

3. Kiribati: The president already bought land in Fiji to relocate his entire nation.

The Human Cost

We talk about pollution, but we forget people. These are Climate Refugees - people who will lose their homes, culture, burial grounds, and national identity. No international law properly protects them yet.

Can We Save Them?

The solution is global. Cutting carbon emissions, restoring mangroves which act as natural sea walls, and rich nations paying for sea defenses. If we fail to act, it won't stop at small islands. Coastal megacities like Lagos, New York, and Jakarta are next.

The map of the world is about to change forever.
