Leaving your laptop outside on a hot day may damage the device. If the battery temperature reaches 80%, your laptop will continuously charge without reaching 100% power. Storing at high temperature can cause permanent damage.
Switching to your laptop in extremely cold weather, even briefly, will drain battery power, but it should recover when returned to normal temps.
