UPDATED: Peter Obi, the Labour Party's presidential candidate, has surpassed Bola Tinubu in Lagos

His All Progressives Congress (APC) opponent in Lagos State following the announcement of results from 17 out of 20 local government areas in the state's presidential election on Saturday. Although Tinubu won more local government areas, he is currently trailing Obi by a small margin of 1,686 votes. Tinubu has won 10 local government areas, receiving a total of 447,192 votes, while Obi is leading the count by a narrow margin with 448,878 votes in seven local governments. Previously, Tinubu had a slight lead after results were declared in 12 local government areas, but Obi caught up and eventually overtook him with more local government results being announced.
