39 hostages are still being held by the terrorists.

Four more hostages have been freed by the terrorists who ambushed a train headed for Kaduna in March and kidnapped a number of people.

A day after the terrorists published a video showing them beating several of the male hostages with a cudgel, the hostages were freed.

The distraught prisoners could be heard pleading with the Nigerian authorities to save them in the video.

The four hostages were freed on Monday, according to Tukur Mamu, the proprietor of a newspaper who had earlier arranged the release of some of the hostages.
