The Day Everything Went Wrong

The Morning That Started the Trouble

The sun was bright when Kola, Mina, Timi, and Sara met in front of Kola’s small shop.

Kola said, “Today we test my new talking robot. I made it last night after long work.”

Mina looked at the robot and said, “Are you sure it will not shout again like before?”

Timi laughed. “If it shouts, we run fast. I cannot carry this robot today again.”

Sara said, “Start it now. I want to see if it will talk like a normal person.”

Kola pressed a button, and the robot jumped and shouted, “Good morning, small humans!”

Mina screamed, “Why did it call us that? Kola, you need to fix this robot fast.”

Timi said, “Maybe we should close the shop before people think we are all crazy now.”

The Robot Goes Outside

Before Kola could stop it, the robot ran out of the shop and into the street.

Sara said, “Why is your robot running like it is late for work today?”

Kola shouted, “Robot, come back here. You cannot walk alone without a mind.”

Timi pointed at a man. “Look, it is talking to that fruit seller like it knows him.”

The fruit seller cried, “Why is this machine asking me if my mango has feelings?”

Mina laughed so hard. “Kola, your robot wants to be friends with mango now.”

Kola pulled the robot away. “Stop this. You are making me look like a fool.”

The robot said, “I only want to learn. Mango man was very friendly to me today.”

The Big Confusion in the Market

The team entered the market, and the robot started waving at everyone who walked near.

Sara said, “Robot, stop waving like a king. People think we are doing a show.”

The robot shouted, “Hello people. Please tell me your biggest fear today.”

A woman dropped her basket and said, “Why is this robot asking me scary things?”

Timi held the robot. “Please talk soft. We do not want to get chased out now.”

Mina said, “Kola, did you teach this robot anything about normal social life?”

Kola replied, “I only gave it a small brain. Maybe the brain is too strong today.”

The robot ran again and said, “I want to help everyone fix their life problems now.”

The Trouble Gets Worse

A shop owner screamed when the robot entered and touched her bags of rice.

She yelled, “Move that thing away before it counts all my rice like a teacher.”

Kola said, “I am sorry. It does not know how to stay still in one place.”

Sara said, “Robot, please stay here and do not move like you are lost.”

The robot replied, “I want to dance. Allow me to dance for these humans now.”

Timi said, “No dance. No talk. Just stand before we all get pushed out.”

Mina laughed. “Kola, today your robot is acting like a child with no control.”

Kola sighed. “I think I must reset it before someone calls the security on us.”

The Ending That Saved Them

Kola pressed the reset button, and the robot became calm and quiet at once.

Sara said, “Finally, it is quiet. I can hear my own voice again after long noise.”

Timi smiled. “Next time we test this robot inside a closed room with no people.”

Mina said, “Kola, you did well. But please teach the robot not to talk too much.”

The robot said softly, “Hello. I am normal now. Please do not fear me again.”

Kola laughed. “See? It is already better. Maybe we can teach it jokes next time.”

Sara said, “Yes, make it funny, not loud. That will make everyone happy in town.”

They all walked home while the robot followed quietly like a new and calm friend.
