I started using Retpica which is now called Getpica or Etpica Africa 2 weeks ago because I was looking for a small side hustle to earn in dollars in Nigeria.
When I first signed up, I got a welcome bonus. The platform says you can earn by completing simple tasks, answering quiz and watching sponsored ads.
HOW I STARTED:
After registration, I was given some basic tasks. The main way to earn is through daily quiz and sponsored tasks. At first it looked very easy and I quickly made my first $0.50.
The daily quiz questions are very simple like:
- Where do you go to post a letter? Answer: Post office
- What do we call someone who teaches? Answer: Teacher
- Who repairs cars? Answer: Mechanic
- Who sells medicine legally? Answer: Pharmacist
- What does a doctor do? Answer: Treats sick people
THE CHALLENGES I FACED:
The sponsored tasks sometimes do not count. You will watch a video for 30 seconds but it will still show "not completed". Also the ads are too many. Everytime you click, ads like Tour Colleges will pop up and cover your screen.
Another challenge is the badges. Badges like Getting Started, Task Rookie, Daily Doer, On Fire, Consistency Champ are there to motivate you. The advantage of badges is that it unlocks bigger tasks and increases your daily reward if you login everyday for 30 days.
Another issue is when you want to post or submit, you will see Computer Security or Network Security check at the bottom. You need to click that blue arrow icon and wait for it to show green tick before you can submit.
DID I WITHDRAW?
Yes, I was able to reach the minimum withdrawal and I withdrew. It took about 24 hours before it reflected. This made me believe the platform is not a total scam, but you need to be very consistent.
MY ADVICE FOR NEW USERS:
1. Don't expect to make $10 daily - it is small money like $0.001 to $0.005 per task that adds up.
2. Complete your daily quiz early morning when server is fast.
3. Login everyday to unlock all badges.
4. Use strong network and normal Chrome browser, not Opera Mini.
5. For Lodpost posting, always close the ads and verify the Computer Security icon.
FINAL VERDICT:
Getpica / Etpica / Retpica is legit for small earnings, but it is not a get-rich-quick platform. It pays small airtime money. If you have free time and you are patient, you can use it. But if you want to earn more by writing, platforms like Lodpost.com is better because you earn from real people reading your story.
