How to Make Detergent Soap at Home: Ingredients and Process

Ingredients:

1 kg detergent powder

200g caustic soda

500g sodium carbonate (washing soda)

300g palm kernel oil or any good-quality oil

100g colorant (optional)

50ml fragrance or essential oil (optional)

Water (as needed)

Protective gloves and mixing stick

Process:

1. Safety First: Wear gloves and mix in a well-ventilated area.

2. Mix Caustic Soda: Dissolve caustic soda in water and leave it overnight to cool.

3. Combine Soda and Detergent: Mix sodium carbonate with detergent powder in a separate bowl.

4. Add Oil: Gradually pour the oil into the detergent mixture while stirring continuously.

5. Add Caustic Solution: Slowly add the cooled caustic soda solution into the mixture. Stir thoroughly.

6. Add Color and Fragrance: Mix in the colorant and fragrance of your choice.

7. Mold the soap: Pour the thick mixture into molds. Leave it to set for 24-48 hours before cutting into bars.
