How I Got a Remote Customer Support Job With Just My Phone – No Degree Needed

Last month, I was broke and searching for jobs up and down. Every job said "bring laptop, bring degree". I had only my small Android phone.

But I still got a remote customer support job that pays $80 monthly. How? I used a simple trick.

Many companies now hire phone support agents. You don't need a laptop, just good English and WhatsApp.

Here is exactly what I did:

Step 1: I Created a Simple One-Page CV With My Phone

I went to Canva.com, searched "Simple Resume". I added:

- My name and WhatsApp number

- Skills: Good communication, Fluent English, Can use WhatsApp and Gmail

- Experience: "Freelance Customer Support on WhatsApp" (even if na for your friend business, put am)

I downloaded it as PDF. Free.

Step 2: I Applied Only on These 3 Places

Forget LinkedIn stress. I used:

1. Indeed.com - I searched "Remote Customer Support No Experience"

2. Jobberman.com (for Nigeria) - Filter "Remote"

3. Facebook Groups - Search "Remote Jobs for Nigerians"

I applied for 5 jobs daily. I copied same short message:

"Hello, I am available for remote customer support. I have good English, I am active 8 hours daily, and I can work with phone. Here is my CV. Thank you."

Step 3: The Interview Was Just a WhatsApp Chat

The company that hired me didn't do Zoom. They just chatted me on WhatsApp and asked: "Can you reply to customers politely?" I said Yes.

They gave me 2-day trial. I passed.

My Work Now:

I reply to customers on WhatsApp and Instagram for a small skincare brand. 4 hours in morning, 2 hours at night. With my phone. They pay me every Friday via Opay.

3 Tips That Will Help You Get Hired Fast

1. Be fast. Reply to job posts within 1 hour of posting.

2. Keep your CV one page. No long story.

3. Learn small English support phrases: "How may I help you?" "Let me check that for you."

You can start today. Don't wait for laptop.
