Harry Kane has been crowned the winner of the 2026 Ballon d'Or, becoming the first Bundesliga player in 30 years to win football's biggest individual prize.
The Bayern Munich striker beat off competition from Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to win the prestigious award in Paris last night.
Kane scored 36 Bundesliga goals last season to help Bayern Munich win the title and also led England to Nations League glory. The 33-year-old England captain has been in sensational form, proving age is just a number.
The former Tottenham Hotspur forward becomes only the second Englishman after Michael Owen in 2001 to win the Ballon d'Or in the last 25 years.
Speaking after winning the award, Kane said it is a dream come true after many years of hard work. He dedicated the award to his family and Bayern Munich teammates.
This is Kane's first Ballon d'Or after finishing second in 2023 and third in 2024. Many fans believe this award is well deserved after his consistent goalscoring over the last decade.
Bayern Munich have now produced a Ballon d'Or winner for the first time since Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in 1981.
Key Stats:
36 Bundesliga goals 2025/26 season
