A particular stream in Etinan, Akwa Ibom State

In Akwa Ibom State they is a village call Etinan,they in Etinan is one of the natural miraculous stream we call it idem ikot Eko ,it is a small but mighty,a very powerful wealthy and peaceful  stream,as a child my grandmother always warn us never to go to the stream in the afternoon, because that is the time the mermaid usually comes out ,we were told scared stories,but one interesting ones was the story of a young boy in the 80's who was gifted with wealth through this same stream but out of greed he lost his life because he refused to return the belonging he found in the stream, instead he use the item to  playing games with the mermaid by collecting wealth, at the same refused to return her item(belonging),my grandmother said he was taken by the river and his dead body return to the surface after three days and was buried close to the stream,in conclusion of this stream it forbid greedy people,but if you genuinely seek for anything,I mean anything she will give without taking anything in return.
