How I Made My First ₦15k in Lagos With Only My Phone: 3 Apps That Pay Directly to Opay in October 2026

I was completely broke two weeks ago in Lagos. No job, no capital, just data and my Android phone. I needed ₦15k urgently for house expenses and I tried many apps that promised to pay but they were fake.

After wasting a lot of data, I finally found 3 apps that actually paid me directly to my Opay account. I am sharing them so you don't waste your time like I did.

1. Premise App - Best for Small Tasks Around You

This is the most legit one I have found. Premise pays you to be their eyes on the ground.

What you do: The app will ask you to go to a nearby supermarket, market or shop. For example, they told me to go to Shoprite in Ikeja and take a clear photo of the price of Dangote rice and Indomie. Sometimes they ask you to answer simple survey like "Is MTN network good in your area?"

How much I made: Each task pays between ₦200 to ₦1,500. Last Tuesday, I did 4 tasks near Computer Village and I made ₦1,800 in one afternoon. You don't need to speak to anyone.

How to get more tasks: Turn on your location, and check the app three times daily - 8am, 1pm and 7pm. That's when new tasks drop. Make sure your photo is very clear or they will reject it.

Payment: They pay in dollars via PayPal, but I used Payoneer to transfer to my Opay. Minimum withdrawal is $5 which is around ₦7,500 now.

2. Toloka by Yandex - Best for Students Who Press Phone All Day

Toloka is from the company that owns Yandex browser. They give you very small jobs that take 1-2 minutes.

What you do: Jobs like "Does this picture have a car inside?" or "Is this shop open or closed?" or "Check if these two words are the same." It looks boring but it is very easy. You can do it while watching TV.

How much I made: I make $1 to $2 daily when I have data. That's about ₦1,500 to ₦3,000. It is not huge money but it adds up. In one week I made $9.

Payment: You can withdraw with as little as $1 to PayPal or Payoneer. Very good for students.

Tip: Do the tasks early in the morning around 6am, there are more tasks then and less competition.

3. Lodpost - Best for People Who Can Write Simple English

This is the app you are reading this article on right now. Lodpost pays you for writing articles. You don't need to be a professional writer.

What you do: You write simple articles like this one, about things Nigerians are searching for. For example, money, JAMB, WAEC, data codes, relationship gist. When people read your article, you earn money.

How much I made: Lodpost pays you when your article gets views. Once you reach $10 which is about ₦15,000 to ₦16,000, you can withdraw to your bank account or crypto wallet. If you can write simple English like you chat on WhatsApp, you can make money here.

Why it works: The key is to write what people are searching for on Google. Don't write grammar. Write titles like "How to check JAMB result 2026" or "MTN cheapest data code October 2026". Those topics always get views.

My advice: Start with 2 articles per week. Write at least 800 words. Make your title have 2026 and Nigeria inside it. Share your article link on your WhatsApp status and Facebook groups to get first views.

How I Combined Them to Make ₦15k:

I did not rely on one app. Here is what I did:

Monday: I did Premise tasks and made ₦1,800

Tuesday to Friday: I did Toloka every evening for 1 hour and made $6 total (about ₦9,000)

Saturday: I wrote one article on Lodpost that got 300 views and made $4

Total: About ₦15,000+ in one week without leaving my house too much.

You don't need capital to start. You just need data, a smartphone, and consistency. Don't expect to become a millionaire, but you can make your pocket money and pay small bills.

Which of these three will you try first? Let me know in the comments and I can guide you more. And if this helped you, please share to help someone else who is broke in Lagos.
