Hong Kong suspends its Covid no-fly policy

Hong Kong will stop banning routes for airlines that bring too many passengers with Covid-19 and suspend a policy that has been heavily criticized by businesses and travelers for messing up plans and leaving people stranded.
The ban on flights was one of many strict Covid control policies that have further isolated the Asian financial hub from a world moving away from pandemic restrictions. Other travel-deterrent controls, including lengthy hotel quarantines and strict testing requirements for flight boarding, remain in place, but the suspension of the ban on flights from Thursday removes one hurdle.
