"The Three Disciples" A man is leaving to travel. He called his three disciples. He gave money to each according to their ability. To the first he gave five thousand pesetas, to the second two thousand, and to the third one thousand. Then the man left to travel. Meanwhile, the disciple whom he gave five thousand immediately used the money to invest and he earned five thousand. The second one did the same and he also earned two thousand. But the third dug in the ground and in it hid the money left to him. After a long time the man returned. He called the three disciples to answer. The disciple came first with five thousand. Lord, you gave me five thousand and behold, I also earned five thousand, he said. Well done! You are a good disciple, said the man. I have entrusted you with a small amount, so I will entrust you with a much greater amount. Come and share my happiness. The second disciple approached and said, Lord, you gave me two thousand. Look and I also earned two thousand. The man replied, Well done! You are a good and trustworthy disciple. I have entrusted you with a small amount, so I will also entrust you with a much greater amount. Come and share my happiness. Finally the disciple with a thousand came and said, Lord, I was afraid so I hid your money underground. Here is your money. The man was angry with his disciple and said, Lazy disciple! I wish you had at least deposited my money in the bank so that it would at least earn interest that I would get on my return. Take the money from him and give it to the ten thousand. Because the person who already has will be given more and he will have more. But he who does not have, even the little that he already has will be taken from him. And to this worthless disciple, cast him into darkness.
