GOD-KIND OF LADY – TEEN EDITION [MINI-SERIES].
Episode 1.
Chidera adjusted her beret as she walked out of the youth fellowship. The air was buzzing — an end-of-term party was coming up, and the gist was flying faster than WAEC questions.
“Chichi, you dey go the party na?” her bestie Adaeze asked, twirling her braids.
Chidera raised an eyebrow. “Which party? The one with no chaperones? Where will DJ Kobby be spinning songs that can make even angels blush? Abeg o!”
Adaeze laughed. “Babe, live small na. You too dey holy.”
But Chidera smiled, her mind racing. “See, Ada, Proverbs 4:23 says, ‘Guard your heart with all diligence.’ I can’t be shouting ‘I’m God’s babe’ on Sunday and then be twerking to nonsense lyrics on Friday night.”
That night, her phone buzzed — party invite link. She stared at it, heartbeat racing. Should she go, to see what the hype was about?
“Mba—No,” she said aloud, deleting the invite. “E nwere ihe ka mma n’iru – something better is ahead.”
As she drifted to sleep, she whispered, “God, keep me strong. I no wan fall your hand.”
Somewhere, a certain Ephesians 5 kind of guy was noticing her choices — and liking what he saw. 👀
I loved this piece ❤️
