A NEW START THAT IS REIGNING SUPREME

As one of the biggest Afrobeats superstars worldwide, Davido has already been making a splash in the music world, but it seems like his newest project will push his sound even further, taking it into new and experimental directions. Oriadé features 13 tracks produced by Moyovsky, 808 Da Beats and Arolo Eze, and fuses Afrobeats with global pop influences and emotive storytelling. Also on the project are Black Sherif, Leon Thomas, Aya Nakamura, Llona, JAZZWRLD, GL_Ceejay, 1xG2 and others.

Early listeners are already calling the opening track a “cinematic masterpiece” with one viral X post reading:

“Davido did NOT come to play ,  this intro sounds like a Netflix movie opening scene.”

FANS ARE RAVING ABOUT THESE TRACKS

Within hours of the release alert, fans exploded onto social media, so many with memes, hot takes and their opinions on loudest how to rank the tracks.

The Black Sherif collaboration is already being dubbed a “standout moment” on the album. Fans are calling it powerful, and a mix of Afrobeats and Ghanaian drill, resulting in “someone’s at it raw and unforgettable.” One viral comment on the track was simply:

“This track is illegal… Davido and Black Sherif just made history.”

But it’s the Aya Nakamura feature that’s actually trending, with its hook that many fans are calling “global hit written all over it.” Clips from the track are circulating on TikTok and Instagram Reels.

In fact, even before the weekly charts even release, we’re already seeing dance challenges popping up for one of the tracks’ more upbeat songs, which is becoming a favourite for parties and clubs alike.
