Cancer treatment change you into a totally different person than before
-----
Cancer treatment tells you you’re tired… but it never really explains what that means.
It’s not regular tired.
It’s not “I didn’t sleep well” tired.
It’s a deep, heavy exhaustion that lives in your bones and doesn’t leave just because you rested.
It’s waking up already drained before the day even starts.
It’s sitting down from something small and feeling like your body just ran a marathon.
It’s wanting to do normal things… and realizing your body can’t keep up right now.
Sleep doesn’t fix it.
A nap doesn’t fix it.
Even a full night of rest just gives you a small pause in something that feels constant.
And the hardest part is, on the outside you can look okay… while on the inside you’re fighting just to get through simple moments.
Showering.
Talking.
Eating.
Getting dressed.
Things you never thought twice about before suddenly take everything out of you.
But this kind of tired isn’t weakness.
It’s survival.
It’s your body carrying you through something incredibly hard, even when it feels like it has nothing left to give.
So if you’re in this place too, I hope you stop blaming yourself for being tired.
You’re not lazy.
You’re not failing.
You’re fighting.
And sometimes, just getting through the day is enough.
